Jordan Brand has been leaning hard into holiday themes lately. The Santa Air Jordan 3 handles the nice list. The Air Jordan 3 Not Nice is what happens to everybody else. It lands November 21, 2026 for $215 and style code IF4396-001, and I think it is quietly the most interesting Jordan of the season.
The official color reads Black/Challenge Red-Off Noir-Elemental Gold, but that spec sheet hides what makes this shoe work. The upper is a crackled Velvet Brown nubuck that looks pre-aged, like the shoe survived a decade in someone’s closet before it ever boxed up. Lighter gold tones bleed through the worn texture. Then comes the detail that sold me: black and red elephant print wrapping the toe and heel, an inverted take on the classic cement pattern that feels genuinely mean.

Seasonal touches are everywhere once you start looking. The insoles carry gothic Checked It Twice lettering, a nod to Santa checking his list. Pull back the heel tab and Not Nice is stitched underneath. The midsole comes aged tan, the tongue and lining run Challenge Red, and there is a green hit on the outsole that only makes sense once you clock the Christmas reference. Nike Air embroidery sits on both heels in black over the red elephant print.

I have to be honest, I went back and forth on this colorway when the first photos dropped in July. Crackled finishes can look like a gimmick. But the more images surfaced the more it grew on me, because the distressing is baked into the material, not printed on top. It will age naturally instead of peeling weird. That is the difference between a theme shoe and a themed shoe done right.

Moving past the looks, availability matters here. SNKRS, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Hibbett and Shiekh on November 21 at $215. A LEO-style launch would be nice but Jordan has been quiet on format. Either way, dark holiday Jordans have a track record of selling through fast and settling above retail, so if this one is on your list, treat it like a real drop and not a curiosity.
