On Running and Kith have expanded their K Tech partnership with the K T
The shoe launches in two colorways: Triple Black and Storm. Both use On’s Cloudzone 99 tooling with CloudTec cushioning, which is the same technology On uses in their performance running shoes. The difference is that the K Tech 3 wraps that tech in a lifestyle package that does not look like a running shoe.
September 18 release. $200 retail. That is premium pricing for a lifestyle shoe, but On and Kith are not targeting the casual buyer. They are targeting the person who wants Swiss engineering in a shoe that does not look like it belongs in a gym.
On Running has been making moves in the sneaker world. A few years ago they were just a running brand that tennis players wore. Now they are collaborating with Kith, showing up in streetwear conversations, and building lifestyle silhouettes that compete with Nike and adidas in the fashion space.
