The Air Jordan 9 OG “Space Jam” isn’t just another retro — it’s a milestone release that connects the shoe’s cinematic history with a new generation of collectors who grew up watching the Tune Squad take on the Monstars.
Let’s talk about the build. Style code IX6179-100 features a white leather upper with a black nubuck mudguard and collar wrap. True Red hits the Jumpman on the tongue, the heel “23” badge, and the globe logo on the outsole — the same triple-color formula that made the original 1993 release iconic. Jordan Brand has also adjusted the shape to better match the ’93 original, which means a sleeker toe box and more accurate proportions compared to previous retros.
