JENNIE from BLACKPINK has been an adidas Originals ambassador for a while now. Her debut collab, “Functional Grace” for FW26, finally dropped September 1, 2026. The timing feels right.
The headliner is the Superstar SQ Ballet. Squared toe, reimagined Superstar silhouette, ballet precision meets streetwear. I was skeptical when I heard “ballet Superstar.” But seeing it on foot changed my mind. It works better than it should.
JENNIE co-designed the collection. Sheer layers, reworked trackwear, pointe-inspired footwear. The trackwear has a softer hand than standard adidas pieces. Balletcore without trying too hard at it.
The collab does not feel forced. Years of ambassador relationship leading to a natural evolution. The pieces are wearable. Not just photo-shoot props. The overall vibe is elevated casual, and the collection has enough range to build full outfits around.
The Superstar SQ Ballet might sound strange on paper. On foot it makes sense. The broader collection holds up too.
