The waterproof Dunk is one of those ideas that sounds like a gimmick until you live somewhere it rains in November. This Gore-Tex Dunk Low in Camo Green, Black Spruce, and Sequoia is the one I’d actually wear through a slog of a commute. Premium leather upper, waterproof membrane, and a sonic yellow swoosh that pops hard against all that dark foliage green.
Nobody buys a Dunk for performance, I know. But the Gore-Tex versions change the math. Your regular Dunks are cardboard in a puddle. These shrug it off, and the gum outsole on this colorway has decent bite on wet pavement. It’s $155, which is $30 over a standard Dunk Low, and that premium buys you dry socks and a shoe that doesn’t die in one winter.

Color-wise this is the sleeper of the current Gore-Tex range. The camo green reads almost solid at a distance, then you catch the sonic yellow swoosh up close and the whole thing wakes up. The water-droplet product shots Nike runs for these are honestly the best argument for them. The leather beads water like a jacket.
It released November 4th as a general release on Nike.com. Gore-Tex Dunks rarely go on clearance because the people who buy them actually wear them, so if you’re on the fence for winter, the fence is the wrong place to be.
Fit is standard Dunk, snug out of the box, breaks in after a week. Go true to size and let the leather do its thing.
