SoleFly does not miss. I said that in 2023 when the Miami boutique dropped the “Mi Casa Es Su Casa” Air Jordan 8, and again in 2024 with the “Cafecito” Air Jordan 12, and their “Fruits of Our Labor” Air Jordan 3 from 2025 still gets brought up in every collab conversation. For Holiday 2026 they are taking their first swing at the Air Jordan 5, and the early look has my attention.
The colorway is Black, Aurora Green, Anthracite and Muslin. That reads dark on paper, but the green is doing real work here. It hits the flames on the midsole, the inside of the tongue, and the Nike Air branding on the heel. Everything else stays in Off Noir suede, which is a premium move for a 5 since the model usually leans on smooth leather.
The detail that everyone is talking about is the heel. SoleFly swapped the big 23 on the lateral side for their own SF logo, and there is a loop on the heel designed so the laces can wrap around it. I have never seen that on an Air Jordan 5. Word from the early pairs is that the retail version keeps the wrap area even if the laces come laced standard, so you can style it both ways.
SoleFly owner Daniel Hidalgo was spotted wearing the shoe at Got Sole Miami in October, which is usually the sign that a release is close and locked. The drop is set for December 5, 2026 through SoleFly and NBHD retailers, with SNKRS expected to carry it too. Retail is $225 under style code IU0734-001.
Honestly, December is stacked and something has to give. This pair is good, not must-have for me, but SoleFly fans have been waiting for the boutique to finally touch the 5 and this is a strong first effort. Expect limited quantities and the usual SoleFly special packaging. If the green flames look this good in person, I might regret saying this in December.
