Every year Jordan Brand finds one Air Jordan 3 to make the sneaker internet lose its mind, and for Holiday 2026 that shoe is the “Middle East”. It just showed up in official press imagery and honestly, I was not ready for how clean this thing is. Soft Pearl leather wraps the upper, and instead of the usual elephant print we get grey suede panels with a debossed pattern I have never seen on a 3 before.
The details are where this release earns its $215 price tag. The left tongue carries “٢٣” in Arabic, which translates to 23, and the same numeral sits next to a Jumpman on the toe box. Metallic Silver eyelets break up the leather, the heel gets debossed Nike Air, and the insoles carry the same debossed pattern in red. Jordan Brand even includes a leather Jumpman hangtag and a spare set of Pomegranate laces with each pair.
Now here is the part that worries me. This is a “Gel” release, which is Jordan Brand code for a regional drop. Similar to past regional pairs, most of us in the US will be watching SNKRS or hunting secondary market listings while other regions get first crack. No specific countries have been confirmed yet, but the name and the Arabic branding tell you exactly which part of the world this one is aimed at.
The colorway reads Soft Pearl, Mink Brown, Light Orewood Brown and Pomegranate, with a gum dark brown outsole grounding everything. On paper that sounds busy. In the press photos it works because the browns stay muted and the pomegranate red only shows up on the insole and the alternate laces. It is a winter colorway through and through, and it lands in December 2026 under style code IX6986-047.
I keep going back and forth on whether Nike Air belongs on non-OG colorways. On this shoe, it works. The heel needs that debossed branding to balance the Arabic detailing up front, and I think the designers knew that. My only real concern is availability. If this stays locked to its intended region, resale is going to be brutal, and a $215 shoe becomes a $500 shoe overnight.
Regional releases either become cult classics or forgotten footnotes. The 2018 “Seoul” Air Jordan 3 was nearly impossible to get outside Korea and now it is a grail. I think the “Middle East” follows that same path. If you want it at retail, keep raffle alerts on and watch the SNKRS app through December. If you miss, resale is the only way back in.
