Nike’s Kobe line keeps printing, and the Kobe 3 Low Protro “Orca” is the next one up. Black and Metallic Cool Grey across the low cut silhouette, style code IV7127-002, releasing November 1 for $190.
The Orca name fits. The color blocking is basically killer whale, black up top with that crisp grey belly wrapping underneath. It is one of those schemes that sounds boring when you type it out and looks incredible in person. The 3 is also the most aggressively underrated Kobe silhouette. People slept on it in 2007 because it looked weird, and now it is the one the heads chase.
The Protro treatment means modern materials and an updated cushion setup instead of the original foam from 2007. The low cut keeps it strictly for guards and casual wear. Fine by me. Kobe lows have become legitimate lifestyle shoes at this point, you see them everywhere with jeans.
Market-wise this one is already moving. Every listed size before release was asking $300, which is $110 over retail, and the number had not budged for weeks. Kobe product does not sit. After the Mamba Strategy restocks dried up, demand keeps outstripping supply on nearly every drop.
