Nike made a Foamposite for the Oregon Ducks that looks like a mummy, and I cannot stop staring at it. The Air Foamposite Pro “Mummy Duck” drops November 3, style code IZ7806-001, $230 retail.

Where do I even start. The Foam shell wears a bone white wrap effect layered with bandage striping, black carbon weave textures, and Oregon’s fighting duck mascot hit in gold on the heel. It is a Halloween concept married to a college football marriage, and somehow the result is cohesive instead of chaotic.

Oregon Foams are a institution at this point. Every few years Nike builds a new pair for the school they outfit, they never hit general retail in large numbers, and they instantly become collector items. The Mummy Duck continues the line with the most aggressive theme they have tried yet.

Foamposite people are a different breed of collector. They buy heavy shoes on purpose, they want the weird ones, and they will hunt these. Early resale was sitting around $212 in common sizes on release week, which for a limited Nike school exclusive is almost reasonable.

November 3, 10 AM ET. These will not restock. The Duck faithful and the Foam faithful are both circling, and there is only one shipment.
