Nike’s “What The” concept has always been chaos by design, mash every notable colorway onto one shoe and let the contradictions fight it out. The Air Force 1 Low ’07 LV8 “What The LA” does it for Los Angeles, dropping November 5 on SNKRS for $125, style code CT1117-100.

This one follows the earlier LA release with a flipped palette. White base this time, with panels pulling from the city’s greatest hits, and details shouting out LA culture across the upper. The left and right shoes are intentionally mismatched, which is the entire point of the format. Wearing a pair is basically wearing an argument.

The first What The LA in October sold out fast and resale ran hot, from $290 up to $475 in some sizes. The sequel is the white version, and sequels in this format usually move a little slower, but the AF1 crowd is enormous and the $125 price keeps the entry point friendly.

What I love about What The pairs is the shelf presence. In a wall of white forces this is the pair everyone picks up to inspect. It is a conversation shoe. Not everyone can pull it off but the ones who do, do.

November 5, 10 AM ET, SNKRS app. Style code CT1117-100 for the hunters. At $125 these are one of the cheapest true collector pieces of the holiday season.
