Jordan Brand is bringing Space Jam to the golf course, and I am not even slightly mad about it. The Air Jordan 1 Low G Spiked ‘Space Jam’ releases November 5 for $175, and it is exactly the kind of weird crossover that makes a 30th anniversary collection fun. You can literally wear the movie on your feet while chasing pars.
The look is a blackout golf shoe with a twist. Black leather across the upper is broken up by multi-color accents pulled straight from the Tune Squad universe, with a translucent sole underneath and a spiked traction plate. The 1 G has quietly become one of the best golf silhouettes on the market because the base shoe is thin, low, and stable, which is everything you want over a golf ball.
Functionally this is a real golf shoe, not a costume. Removable spikes sit on the plate with secondary traction lugs for when the course is damp, and the leather upper has enough structure to survive a full season of Saturday rounds. I played a few holes in the ‘White Fir’ colorway last year and the 1 G platform is legitimately good. The fit runs a touch narrow, so wide-foot players should try before buying.
This is part of a much bigger drop. The golf shoe joins the baseball side in the Air Jordan 11 Retro MCS ‘Space Jam’ cleat, the Bugs Bunny-inspired Air Jordan 1 Mid SE ‘Space Jam Hare’, and the on-court Air Jordan 41 ‘Space Jam’. Jordan covered basically every surface you can compete on.
Resale on golf colorways tends to be calmer than the basketball pairs, which works in your favor if you actually intend to wear these. GOAT already has the product page live, and golf-specific releases of the 1 G have historically settled near retail once the launch hype clears. $175 is right in line with the premium spiked golf shoe market anyway.
