The Foamposite Pro is having a moment. Nike has been steadily bringing back colorways that people thought were gone for good, and the “Dr. Doom” is the latest to get the call. If you missed it in 2006 or 2016, November 27, 2026 is your third chance.
Let me give you some history. The Dr. Doom Foamposite Pro originally dropped in 2006 as part of the “Fantastic Four” pack. That collection also gave us the Air Force 1 Low “Invisible Woman,” Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic,” Air Max 95 “Invisible Torch,” and the Dunk High “Thing.” The Foamposite was the standout then and it is the standout now. Nike re-released it in 2016 for the 10th anniversary and it sold out fast both times.
The 2026 version keeps the same Black and White colorway that made the original iconic. Black across the entire Foamposite shell, leather eyestays, mesh tongue, and carbon fiber shank plate. White hits the Swoosh, liner, branding, and most of the rubber outsole. One difference from the 2016 retro is a larger Swoosh and a shape that follows the original mold more closely. That matters to Foamposite heads who care about the silhouette proportions.
Style code is HF0794-003 and retail is $240. Releasing on Black Friday, which is smart. People are already in a spending mood and this is the kind of shoe that makes someone skip the TV deals and head to SNKRS instead. There is also a Marvel connection here. The Dr. Doom name ties to the Fantastic Four villain, and with Avengers: Doomsday hitting theaters around the same time, the timing is not a coincidence. Nike does not usually bring back a 20 year old Foamposite colorway for no reason.
If you have never owned a Foamposite, the Dr. Doom is a good place to start. The all black shell is the cleanest colorway in the lineup and the shape update means it will actually look right on foot. Just know that Foamposites run a little narrow. Size up if you have wide feet.
