The Nike Sabrina 3 is here and it might be the best signature basketball shoe that most people are still sleeping on. Sabrina Ionescu’s third signature with Nike builds on everything that made the first two models great, and after spending time with the Fall 2026 colorways, I’m genuinely impressed.
Let’s talk about the tech first because this is where the Sabrina line has consistently punched above its price class. The Sabrina 3 retails at $135 in adult sizes and $100 in big kids sizing. At that price, you’re getting a forefoot Air Zoom unit paired with Cushlon 3.0 foam in the midsole. That’s the same combination that made the Sabrina 1 and 2 so good. The Zoom unit gives you responsive pop on your first step, and the Cushlon 3.0 provides a plush, comfortable ride that keeps your legs fresh through a full game. The midsole also uses a firmer foam wrap around the softer core for lateral stability, so you’re not sacrificing support for comfort.
The upper is where the Sabrina 3 takes a noticeable step forward from its predecessors. Nike’s design team, led by Ben Nethongkome, drew inspiration from textile weaving and embroidery that nods to Ionescu’s Romanian roots. The result is a mesh upper with pleats running along the sides. Those pleats aren’t just for looks. They house cables that run through the midfoot, providing enhanced containment and lockdown. When you lace these up, you feel that glove-like fit that locks your foot in place without pinching. It’s a really smart design that merges aesthetics with function.
The vertical, off-axis Swoosh on the medial side returns from the Sabrina 1 and 2. Nike says it represents the glass ceilings Ionescu continues to shatter, and I love that they’ve kept it as a consistent design element across all three models. It gives the shoe a distinct identity that sets it apart from every other signature line on the market. The traction pattern on the outsole gets a new concentric “S” design that celebrates Sabrina more explicitly than before. It grips well and offers great bite on the floor while maintaining court feel.
Since the Sabrina 3 launched in July 2025 with the “Blueprint” colorway, we’ve seen a steady stream of releases. The “What The” colorway dropped in April 2026 as a multi-color mash-up celebrating the shoe’s best details. The “WNBA 30th Anniversary” pair hit shelves in May 2026. The “Mint Chocolate Chip” and “Big Ellie” colorways both turned heads. And the “Oregon Ducks” PE brought college flair to the lineup. The Fall 2026 colorways continue that momentum with clean, versatile looks that work for both on-court performance and casual wear.
What I find remarkable about the Sabrina line is how it has become the go-to shoe for players at every level. You see NBA players wearing them. You see WNBA players wearing them. College players, high school players, rec league players. The Sabrina 3 has crossed every boundary because it performs and it’s priced accessibly. At $135, it’s $45 less than the LeBron 22 and $15 less than the KD 17. That value is intentional. Ionescu has been vocal about wanting her shoe to be accessible to young players, especially young girls who look up to her.
The shoe’s weight is another standout feature. The Sabrina 3 is light. Really light. The mesh upper and minimal overlay construction keep the weight down without feeling flimsy. When you’re making quick cuts and step-back moves, that lightness translates to speed and agility. The low-to-the-ground midsole also helps with court feel, letting you feel the floor while still getting enough cushion to protect your joints.
I think the Sabrina 3 is the best performing basketball shoe in Nike’s current lineup when you factor in the price-to-performance ratio. The LeBron 22 is more technologically complex. The KD 17 has a softer, more comfortable ride. But the Sabrina 3 strikes a balance between responsiveness, support, and weight that makes it the most versatile option. It works for guards, wings, and even forwards who prefer a lighter feel.
The Fall 2026 colorways keep the momentum going. After the success of the Blueprint, What The, and WNBA 30th Anniversary releases, the new colorways offer more subdued but equally clean options. If you’ve been waiting to try the Sabrina line, the third model is the most refined version yet, and the Fall 2026 releases are worth the attention.
Sabrina Ionescu said it herself. “This shoe represents so much of me, from the vertical Swoosh that we’ve had since the Sabrina 1 to the design touches personal to me. I hope it inspires all hoopers, especially young girls, helping them continue to break down barriers and believe in themselves.” That intention shows in every detail of this shoe. The Sabrina 3 isn’t just a good women’s basketball shoe. It’s a great basketball shoe, period.
