Nike went full horror movie for Halloween 2026 and I am honestly here for it. The Air Force 1 ’01 “Hellraiser” is the pair everyone called the Pinhead AF1 all year, and now that it actually dropped on October 23 the nickname stuck hard. Black leather base, Gym Red peaking through the cut panels, silver rivets pushed through the upper like the shoe got built in the Lament Configuration. It is a lot. It is also kind of perfect for late October.

The whole upper is black leather, but nothing about it reads clean. Red shows up along the cut edges, the stitching, the lining and the branding. Small silver rivets are scattered around the toe and side panels, and those red lines running underneath the hardware make the metal pop like it is holding the shoe together. Nike says vintage horror was the design well, and while there is no official movie tie-in, you would be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Style code IX0104-001 for anyone keeping score at home.

Resale is where this one gets interesting, and not in the way flippers hoped. Retail was 140 dollars and the market has basically shrugged. Pairs have been changing hands at or under that number since release weekend, which almost never happens on a hyped Halloween AF1. Remember the chatter over the summer when early listings asked over 200? Gone. If you wanted this shoe for the costume and not the profit, this is your moment.

Doernbecher season has trained me to expect weird Nike to be expensive Nike. This one broke the pattern. My take is the design is too aggressive for everyday wear for a lot of people, the drop quantities were generous, and the horror theme has a shelf life of about two weeks a year. None of that makes it a bad shoe. It makes it a shoe you buy to wear in October and maybe the odd Friday the 13th.
