Some colorways just work, and the Air Jordan 6 Retro OG “White Infrared” is one of them. White leather upper, infrared hits on the midsole, lace lock and heel tab, black accents doing the quiet lifting in the background. It drops November 7 on SNKRS for $215, style code CT8529-105.
I have a soft spot for this one. The 2014 retro sold well but the leather on that run left a lot to be desired. This version is billed as an OG build, which means Nike is supposedly treating the materials with more respect this time around. The infrared shade is the exact loud-but-not-neon red that made the original 1991 shoe sing.
Here is the interesting part. Resale on this pair is already sitting under retail. Most sizes from 8 to 12 were listed around $190 before release, which is $25 below the store price. That almost never happens with a mainline Jordan 6 retro. Either the market is drowning in 6s right now or the demand forecast was off. Either way, if you want them, buying at retail from SNKRS is somehow not even the cheapest path.
The White Infrared always reads clean on feet. It works with jeans, works with shorts, works with everything honestly. It is the kind of shoe that looks simple in photos and then gets compliments all day when you actually wear it.
If you miss the SNKRS draw, aftermarket prices are tame enough that you will not get wrecked. Just do not sleep forever. Clean white 6s have a way of disappearing once summer rolls back around.
