Anthony Edwards has been a problem for the rest of the league since he stepped on an NBA court. Now in his third signature shoe with adidas, the man they call Ant-Man is dropping a Halloween colorway that feels tailor-made for the season. The adidas Anthony Edwards 3 “Omen” lands on October 23rd, eight days before Halloween, and honestly the timing could not be better.
Let me get the basics out of the way first. SKU is KJ3021, retail is $130, and you will be able to grab these on adidas.com plus select retailers like Foot Locker, Hibbett, and DSG. General release, not limited, and yes, kids sizes will be available too.

The colorway is officially listed as Lucid Red, Silver Metallic, and Core Black. In person, that Lucid Red mesh upper is the kind of bright that stops you mid-scroll. It is loud without being obnoxious about it. The red takes over the entire mesh build from toe to collar, giving the shoe a uniform base that lets the other details pop.

Those Silver Metallic pieces are where things get interesting. adidas shaped them into these arrow-like forms that wrap around the sides of the shoe. They look aggressive, almost weaponized, which fits the whole “Omen” concept perfectly. The silver appears on the heel clip, the outsole, and that cage-like structure running along the lateral and medial sides. It catches light in a way that makes the shoe look like it is moving even when it is just sitting there.

The black tongue and inner lining give you that contrast the shoe needs. Without it, the red and silver would almost be too much. The black grounds the whole design. There is also some reflective material on the toe that I did expect but still appreciated when I saw it in the photos. Little details like that matter on a $130 basketball shoe.

I want to talk about the name for a second. “Omen” is one of those colorway names that actually works. Omens can go either way, good or bad. But for any guard who has to guard Anthony Edwards, looking down at these shoes at the top of the key is probably not a great sign. The name fits the Halloween drop window but it also fits Edwards whole energy on the court. The guy plays like every possession is a personal vendetta.

Performance-wise, the AE 3 uses Dreamstrike EVA cushioning with a Hyperboost midsole. That is adidas way of giving you responsive bounce without going full Boost on a basketball shoe. The TPU cage structure around the upper adds lateral support, which matters if you are actually hooping in these and not just wearing them to the grocery store. No judgment either way. The herringbone traction pattern on the outsole looks solid for indoor play.

This is the third colorway we have seen on the AE 3, following the “Cold Blooded” launch colorway and the “Snow Camo” that dropped in September. The Omen might be the most visually striking of the three. The Cold Blooded had that icy blue thing going on, and the Snow Camo went with a more muted palette. The Omen is the loud one. The one that makes you look.

At $130, the AE 3 sits in that mid-tier basketball shoe price range that has become increasingly crowded. You are getting a signature shoe for a top-10 NBA player at a price that does not make you wince. That matters. Edwards is arguably the most exciting young player in the league right now, and adidas is keeping his signature line accessible. Whether the shoe performs at a level that justifies even that price is something we will know more about once people start playing in them.
October 23rd is the date to circle. These will sell through fast given the Halloween timing and the fact that Edwards is coming off another strong season. If you are feeling the red and silver look, do not sleep on release day. The Omen might be telling you something.
